I've not been able to launch the game using the ARM64. It forces me to use Rosetta - Intel from the launcher. I know that the game doesn't support GOG and Steam services with ARM64 but I just wanted to launch the game natively with my Mac. I have a Mac mini M2 Pro with 32 GB of memory and over 300GB available of hard drive space left after installing it.

When I choose ARM64, after launching the game from the Application folder and not from the GOG or Steam, the launcher disappears and then comes back or I have to launch it again.

Anyone know if this is just not possible or if I'm not understanding the comments I'm reading that it is supported natively with Apple Silicon.

Thanks

the hardware is gimbed by only having 32G of Ram... i know that sounds all right to Windows users but they have an actual Gpu to do the heavy lifting in games and you have buggy half finished software rendors

as for what else is wrong, read https://www.jeremymorgan.com/blog/tech/why-i-returned-mac-mini-m2/ should cover all your questions

That article 100% did not answer my question. I understand that the Mac may have limited performance Vs a PC. My question was why I'm not able to run ARM64 version and only Rossetta - Intel. The article doesn't even talk about Baldur's Gate 3. If I'm misunderstanding what native Apple Silicon support for BG3 means or if something else is needed to be done to get the BG3 working natively with Apple silicon then I'd like to know the answer to that. If I don't like the way it runs natively that's on me. If it doesn't run natively than I just wanted to know why it says it is supported.
