I would have absolutely no problems with her and Halsin being exclusive; they kinda *should* be. Choices don't really matter if there aren't consequences. And I just can't see Minthara and Halsin getting along; even if you can get both in Act 2, there should be a choice at the end of that act, where Halsin will stay to heal the land if you want to take Minthara with you. Would force the player to actually choose and act according to their principles. It's the same as with the other characters who leave if you make certain choices. I guess if they did have a fully fleshed out story, it could somehow work, but eh... I'd rather we get unique stuff for unique playthroughs, rather than "you can do everything in one playthrough if you pick the right choices"; the game becomes rather meta-game heavy then. The game is best when you roleplay heavily, so it should be encouraged over a completionist approach. BG3 is one of the few games where choices actually carry tangible consequences; that should include companions refusing to work with certain people.
