Tara purrs, or my ears are playing tricks on me as well. =) Astarion, Gale and currently hopping about with Shadowheart. I want to do another Gale run in the next patch, hoping that maybe the bugs in his personal quest will have been fixed then.

What I enjoyed most about Gale's journey - apart from dear Tara - was how it turned Astarion into a skilled tempter. The moment when he wants to encourage you to take over the cult has no real incentive for other characters. Aside from a possible power grab, it's just an expression of Astarion's thinly veiled desire to keep the tadpole that grants him freedome. When directed at Gale, the idea to take hold of the Absolute directly contradicts Mystra's command and offers you a possible alternative to imminent death. Astarion's whole spiel of seducing himself a powerful ally becomes a good deal more complex and sinister in a scenario, where it simultaneously motivates his target to not find purpose in self-sacrifice. Definitely not a healthy romance but I loved it. =D

Edit: And Astarion-Origin is just my favourite way to play the game. I may or may not drink Lae'zel dry when she suggets controlling the tadpole isn't an option.

Edit 2: I started Durge, but didn't really like it so I never finished the run. Too much gore, too little horror.
