Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Can't Change Class Patch 7

I had mods from mod manager on (a dragonborn breath weapon mod and a quick level up mod) and all of my save files had the yellow triangle next to them. I offloaded all of the mods and that seemed to work itself out and I played for a few hours. But now, I am unable to change my character's class. I talk to withers and pay the 100 gold, then my game crashes. I don't know if that has anything to do with mods I once had on, but I have offloaded all of them, so I don't know why it is still affecting my game. I am in Act 2, going from last light inn to camp. It only seems to affect my custom character (dragonborn), as I am able to change the class of my followers. Anyone else running into something similar?

Edit: I was able to load a different run through with a human custom character and I could change their class. So it is only my dragonborn that is currently unable to change class.

I am having the exact same problem as you with my dragonborn durge. Following to see if anyone has any fixes. Nothing seems to work for me.

Not glad, but relieved a bit to see it is happening to someone else. I tried so many different things. Verified game files, deleted anything that had to do with mods, verified again. I must have deleted something important that the verification didn't fix, as now I am getting the "you are missing files, have corrupted files, etc." message every time I boot up the game. I shoulda just excepted it and not tried to fix anything myself. Hopefully we can get a fix soon.

The only work around I have found is that you can just add a class on level up, withers is a no go still, though.
