So I followed a couple tutorials and made a hair colour mod. (I wanted white eyebrows with white hair) And it seems to work just fine in the toolkit, but I'm at a loss on how to get it into the game? I haven't made a mod.io account or tried to publish it there. (To be honest I was doing this entirely for myself...) So I guess my questions are...

1. Is there a way to test a mod in the actual game and not the tool kit? Even if I published it to mod.io I would want to make sure it worked in game.
2. If I make .pak file of my mod by publishing local can I use it with out a mod.io account? Do I have to put it in a certain folder?

Sorry, the most I've ever done on modding before is some cosmetic pixel art stuff for Stardew for my friends and myself, and I cheated by just copying a similar mod and replacing the art file.

So I have made a mod.io account and have published my mod there with the visibility set to hidden. But I still have no clue on how to get it into the actual game for testing? There is a manual download button but where do I put the download?

So! Thanks to a very helpful person on discord, if you're like me and you have .pak file you want to test!

Put the .pak file in your mods folder in %appdata%/local/larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3/! and it should pop up in the game's mod manager!
