I find BG3 despite its untidy Act 3 to be far superior in every other way to DOS2, which was a very fine game (Definitive Edition). Some issues will remain no doubt once Larian stops providing patches but we’re not at that point yet.
I’d also wager BG3 will be better than whatever Larian produces next. Perhaps the next project will have superior graphics etc but I shudder at the thoughts of what will result from Larian unencumbered by 5e feeling free to unleash all of their homebrew nonsense, surfaces, and general silliness . No doubt Act 3 will once again be a rushed to production affair.
