Not in Larian's nature to specify a date. Most likely at some point in Oct they'll announce "next week" and that will be as specific as it gets.

Sony and Microsoft also have to approve/certify the mod first. There have been other games in the past where a patch showed up on a PlayStation console before an Xbox one. The opposite has happened too.
So it's not up to Larian when a patch is ready on the consoles.

The First hype is Over :-( i was so happy, but I've already heard horrible things about it, for example that the console mod area is going to be a total failure, so it's just cosmetic, which means all the good things mods won't work, total failure then. It is also written on discord that the PS5 will be affected even worse than the Xbox. The fact that Laria didn't post a counterargument here 2 weeks before October speaks volumes, I think the console mod died before it arrived. who needs cosmetic mods this is just nonsense. It looks like they messed up again on console. It's a shame, I was also really looking forward to the native camera tweaks mod... but it probably won't work. so bad.

It's not up to Larian or any company, Bethesda for example, to have all the mods on console. Microsoft and Sony are much more restrictive when it comes to having mods on their console.

We don't need to say anything nice here, Larian has it on PC and will screw it up on the consoles, they alone would have it in their hands, especially on PC, to release the rules of the mods so that, for example, the native camera mod works with the new patch 7 modmanager via mod.io but it doesn't happen. Larian up to you to bring this mod into the game via a patch for console players, no rocket science, but Larian have zero interest in it, preferring a patch 7 with a mod manager that only works with the handbrake on, so everything stays the same as the old mod manager from patch 7 It's pointless, you just don't need it because the important, basic good things don't work, so what are you trying to say?
You still have to bring mods with vortex or something else into the game with the mods from the Nexus website, like before patch 7. And the native camera mod is just one of many good mods that don't work.

To be honest, if modding is this important to you, you should consider investing in a gaming PC or an equivalent system. Not just for the sake of BG3 but for other games as well. You can find a PC capable of running the game for around $1000. This is simply common sense, as very few games offer modding support on consoles, and when they do, it is often messy.

I don't get why people keep hating Larian for this. Ho complain to Microsoft and Sony. Do you know how much hard work it takes to bring any mods to consoles?

There are also other limitations for mods on console.
According to the creator of the Faces of Faerun mod consoles don't support mods with shaders.
Similar to why there were less mods for Bethesda games like Skyrim on PlayStation. Sony doesn't allow mods with external assets. Probably other restrictions as well.
Other mod creators have also said they've submitted their mods for use on console and hopefully they'll get approved.

It doesn't just affect the consoles, the PC version is also extremely limited in the mod manager due to Larian's rules, which simply neglects the use of the Patch 7 mod manager. For what use a system that locks out the good stuff.native Camera tweak

For what use a system that locks out the good stuff.native Camera tweak When the mod support was announced, it was obvious that some mods would never move to the Larian mod tools for different reasons and some would not be supported (technical issues, legal agreements etc). On PC you can still use Nexus mods btw. You're just hating on Larian for something that was highly likely to happen and might be out of their control anyway. And once again, patch 7 isn't even out on consoles yet AND Larian is working on photo mode.

Just because I give true constructive criticism doesn't mean that I hate Larian, I love Larian for designing such a wonderful game but like in any good marriage or partnership there are arguments and that's why you don't hate anyone. Hating someone is a very strong thing word. I'm disappointed, I'm angry because I can't understand at all how you can deny and ignore this native camera mod, it's wonderful, it works perfectly, it invigorates the game miles forward, it makes BG3 everything perfect in one fell swoop, even better. Why not add it via a patch and let the customers decide for themselves whether they want to use it. why are you explaining this to me about photo mode? What is that ? I don't want a photo mode, I want a native camera in the game and not for taking photos but for playing in-game. I have mentioned several times that Larian castrates itself with their patch 7 modmanager, you don't need to repeat it all the time, why do you do that? But if you think I'll add an improvement and then I'll castrate it so that it's worse again than before, I can just stick with the old thing.

Okay, let’s draw a line under this and move on. I think everyone has already made their position clear.
"You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"
