Dear Larian Gods, please hear my plea!

I've played many many hours into this masterpiece. I'm obsessed with it, in-love with almost everything about it!
With that being said, I always kind of found it weird that my characters, despite solidifying romance options in Act 2, continue to sleep alone during long rests.

Now, I know we're beginning to close on releasing more patches in the future but imagine that if you solidify your romance option/optionS, you long rest with them. Each companion with your character would have their own adorable sleeping arrangement. Gale might have fallen asleep across your character's chest with a good book slipped out from his hand. Astarion's death shroud would be nearby but he would be completely enveloped around his love that finally helped him find safety. Karlach would exude a playful tenderness, Lae'zel would have a dagger peeking out from beneath her side of the bed because "just in case", and so on and so forth. There's endless possibilities.

Anyways, I hope someone sees this. If not the Larian Gods themselves, maybe you players that like that idea

I've mentioned similar in my thread about intraparty connections, and I wholeheartedly agree. I'd love all relationships pushed even further; bringing new life into the characters. And if not here, hopefully with their next title.

It would be great if they made some animation during long breaks in which our character appeared sleeping next to our romance, honestly.

I totally agree with the request in this thread. I've always wanted to see the TAV fall asleep next to their partner. That would be so sweet!

i am on board for this!!! It would be so so so cute if they added this or if a modder could do this!

Bae'zel recently told me, that Gale apparently speaks quite coherently in his sleep and gives mini-lectures. Nightly lore-lessons during long rest would of course be great.

The narrator's voice might at this point say something like:

“He mumbles something in his sleep, his face scrunching up slightly, and hugs you tighter as if instinctively seeking your comfort. It's clear that even in his sleep, he feels safest when in your embrace. After a few moments, his expression relaxes again, and he sighs softly, sinking back into a deeper, more peaceful sleep.” (the text isn't mine, it was given to me by a chatbot, but I think something like this would fit Astarion as a description of the scene you suggested).

Similar comments by the narrator could be added to all companions during a long rest, depending on their character.

Also support long rest snuggles, adding my voice to the choir

I feel like this should have been something that came with the game itself. I am not sure why it did not happen this way. It makes sense for the MC to spend each night with the love once they are partnered. I also find it odd that each companion has their own tent, but Tav got nothing unless I missed it. Tav should have a big tent, and the love should move in with Tav, or maybe Tav can move to the love's tent. It does not have to only show the 4 in party at the moment when long resting. The cutscene can be a broader view of the camp, or just focus on Tav and their love will be fine.

How long the sleep scene with your partner is should depend on your constitution roll

Why are we talking about this ? Especially since apparently its easily moddable for those who care ? So Larian has to do nothing.

Either way this is completely cosmetics and I dont really care myself at all. It would literally only bloat up further whats already an unbelievably large game and would create another instance where I would press ESC or SPACE to skip.

Yeah, I thought it was weird too that Tav doesn't even have their own tent. You can buy a tent from merchants, after all, that's how it's usually done in DnD. And in “Elfsong Tavern” our LI is huddled alone next door to the other companions, why not have a double bed? They could sleep in each other's embrace, even if it's a shared room. By the way, Elfsong Tavern has a great room for two (the room where Duchess Stelmane was murdered) that was unoccupied and just next to the common room. It was realistic, as in life, if a couple could rent that room for themselves, and the others would live in the great room where you could go to talk to them.


Oh yeah, I love playing a warrior with a powerful constitution! And in that case, I would hardly want to play a mage or bard at all.
