Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General HELP - Can't get up the ladder in the begining

Hi people - posted this in technical difficulties as well.

Restarted the game with the patch. When I click on the ladder when you begin the game I assume I'm ascending, my character disappears from view but I don't get to the next room.

Also, is there a way to center the map around your character. IF I scroll to fast I lose him/her and can't get back to where he/she is to move around.
