Hi people - posted this in technical difficulties as well.

Restarted the game with the patch. When I click on the ladder when you begin the game I assume I'm ascending, my character disappears from view but I don't get to the next room.

Also, is there a way to center the map around your character. IF I scroll to fast I lose him/her and can't get back to where he/she is to move around.

Thanks.

Diana, is your caps lock activated?

8) Problem: I’ve lost focus of my player character
You most likely have your shift-lock key on which puts the game in non-focus-on-player-character mode. Switch it off and the game will jump back to your player character.

Kiya, not sure

If I scroll, I use SHIFT and move the mouse, when I let go, I'm with my char again.
If I really lose her, I just click on the part where I am and she comes

Thanks everyone - I probably did have caps lock on since my hero's name was in upper case. Also, given that (1) this game had been released a while ago and not knowing how many people are around and (2) the documentation in the manual being so spotty, I thought it best to beg for help where I could. I'm still feeling my way around with the various commands

Again, thanks very much.

P.S. I notice there's another 'Wheel of Time' aficionado here who's following the 'Dragon Reborn'
