I'm noticing that unarmed strikes do not make a noise when hitting a target as of patch 7. The bug appears to start and stop randomly. I've only noticed it with unarmed attacks, but I'm seeing posts about it missing from all weapons as well (melee and ranged).
The bug will sometimes be present as soon as you start a new game. Other times, you'll start a new game being able to hear attack audio, but it will disappear by the end of the tutorial or start of Act 1.
Has anyone found a workaround for this?
It's not a game-breaking bug, but the audio feedback is a nice way of knowing your attack landed without having to necessarily be looking at the screen/reading the log. It's also a satisfying sound.

Here are two Reddit threads I've found on the topic:
www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/1fclghv/audio_issues_after_last_patch/www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/1fgq68k/no_sound_effect_on_attack_landing_sound_since/What I've tried:
- Verify game files
- Reinstall game
- Purge level cache
- Update GPU drivers
None of it works. And again, I'm noticing this on a new game, not an existing save from patch 6. Just wondering if anyone has found a workaround in the two weeks since those other posts were made.
I know that another iteration of this bug was previously introduced by patch 5, but the fix from then (deleting the old hotfix files) doesn't apply anymore
