I posted a few days back as well unfortunately no fix that I've seen yet.
The sound FX came back randomly on game load (save was at the tieflings kids where you meet Wyll) and when it comes back it generally stays back as if it gets baked into the save file. My current save the sound is as it should be but if I create a new save the issue is there. Done reinstalls/verify (never any issues), different PC, nada works. Never had the issue until I decided to do a clean install for patch 7 since I hadn't since when the game released.
Thanks for sharing that info. Since I noticed it on a new game, I was willing to spend some time trying to troubleshoot it (but I was just wasting my time since nothing worked lol). I'll just play the game and hope the missing audio comes back. Cheers.
