@Crimson I got both of them after patch 7. Both on the main act 1 map iirc, not with Durge though but with Gale, let him have the initial snack bit didn't offer follow up blood because that just seems mean and the dialogue is weird.

I haven't had any problems triggering these scenes after patch 7,
but I also have them very early because before I enter the grove, I have had 3 long rests because the Dark Urge requires 2 more nights (Alfira & Sceleritas) and otherwise the story gets stuck or falls away. I got the bite on the 3rd night, I know he's a vampire before I enter the grove. On the 4th night I have “Stars Night” (after I have spoken to either Auntie Ethel or Zorru). On the 5th night I have the “Drunken night”, then I actually trigger Alfira and then I have the 2 Dark Urge nights. I always only have the "Mirror Night" in the Underdark when I have killed the goblin bosses and the party was in the camp. This night must have a different trigger.

While we're on the subject of partying .... hahaha I love her. <3

My current campaign is on patch 7 and I haven't missed any of his act 1 camp scenes. I just took a look at the dialogue files and didn't see anything talking about requirements to trigger those camp scenes so I'm not sure why they would bug out.

Thank you for confirming guys, then the camp's queue system consumed the scenes after all. Most likely by Karlach - Mizora - Dark Urge x2 camp scenes back to back, which pushed Astarion's reveal after they played out.

Same! Wish she was always at the party instead of just being a stand-in for Lakrissa grin

Oh yeah, that would be great if she was always there, she's a real asset to the party and only at the party when you make morally questionable decisions. “Sorry Lakrissa, no invitation for you to the party”. badsmile Unfortunately the Alfira replacement is so boring.

I'm not sure if my save is bugged or if I just took a very unusual route. What happened?

Someone who doesn't want to be named, let's just call him A. had his fingers too deep in other people's pockets in Kagha's home. Since returning the loot or giving gold wasn't an option, the only option was "Attack". Ok, Kagha said kill the refugees and we have to kill Kagha first. Then we go to the prison where the Druids were fighting the Tieflings, I killed the 3 Druid Bears in front of the door to find out, that the door couldn't be opened. Pandirma was bugged again and ended up being the only surviving Tiefling (I think the children escaped). Then I came from the other side and killed all the druids. Door still closed and I can destroy it.

Ok, the grove is completely dead, except Pandirma, who is still unconscious but still thanks me for saving her. "Hey, that's a good quote. Could have ended worse for her". But since I needed a trader after looting the grove, I thought "Hey, there's one in the goblin camp" and set off. I hadn't been in the grave or anywhere else before, I was just level 3. Of course, it triggered the scene with the dream guard and the next time I visited the camp, Withers was there. "I haven't forgotten you, I was just looking for a vendor because Astar... Mr. A. got caught stealing und the whole grove is dead. Before I forget, who are you and what are you doing in my camp... get out." After that I quickly did the grave and went to Moonhaven. Hmm... no Raphael here either... neither at the Harper viewpoint, nor on the way to Alfira... hmmm.

Ok, I'm excited to see what happens next, the goblins react completely "normally" to me and I'm still supposed to free Halsin. I haven't picked up Karlach yet either...

I hope I can destroy the goblin camp too, let's see what sort of party I get. If it's a Tiefling party, I'm excited to see the cast.

Since I don't actually raid the grove but lure Minthara here and then betray her, I hadn't discovered this Dark Urge moment yet.

At least I think that the door to the prison, Pandirma and possibly Raphael are buggy. I'll see if I can find Raphi somewhere and see how the story continues. hahaha

Since my game was completely messed up, I was now able to see, that the "drunken night" depends on him telling you
about Cazador and depending on the dialogue selection he e.g. had to eat putried rats or were skinned. I was able to trigger the scene very late after the Monster Hunter scene.
.

I'll see what the "mirror night" depends on.

Raphael is still missing from my game. think

Edit: Ok, I had the “mirror night” right after the "drunken night". I think it has something to do with Monster Hunter, since I always have the "drunken night" very early and the "mirror night" very late in the Underdark ( in my case after killing the goblinbosses.

Oh sorry for not confirming already as I'm swarmed in bug reports but yup - it was tied to Gandrel and Cazador (somehow I managed to not get him to open up about Cazador at all last playthrough, but this playthrough everything went smoothly as expected - even sexed him during my initial visit to the Grove hah!) grin

Enjoying the romantic roleplay with him quite a lot and the playfulness of the relationship; especially the teasing between the two, they're so fun. A sanguine couple fated to get married (after all she was sent by Mephistopheles himself to him on an infernal pact mission that plays directly into his lore). The only issue I have with this playthrough is roleplaying the evil ending once I get to it, since I can't go for Dark Urge's unique ending (which sucks Bhaals!) so will have to go for generic ones instead to become Bane's Chosen.

(The sanguine duo)

I also think Larian missed the mark regarding the evil endings by not giving us the option to let Astarion/MInthara dominate the Absolute instead and thus have us rule by their side (like we can with the Emperor, but alas this is feedback I'll be making eventually).

Everything's ok, I just had to think about your question when this scene suddenly triggered for me. Overall it seems to be very buggy in my game.

A romance with him and especially with AA is the perfect gaming experience for me as a Dark Urge. Yes, unfortunately there is no Bhaal ending but I have resigned myself to betraying Bhaal and simply becoming the absolute for Astarion and my world domination. The story of the 2 as villians is wrapped up in an almost perfect romance that is fun at all times.

For me the romance is one half, the other half is always finding new ways to create as much chaos in the game as possible, of course in honour mode and then fighting my way out, that's the most fun. Unfortunately, Minthy often bugged for me so that I can't recruit her... but now even Raphael doesn't want to play in my game. hahaha

Oh yes, I would love the opportunity to give Astarion the throne so that he becomes Sun Lord and then build a vampire world at his side as his consort.

Your "sanguine duo" looks very cute. Unfortunately, Raphael no longer says that he is a fan of your "sanguine art" and that he admires your work. Yeah, it never really made sense for him to say that... but I still liked hearing it.:) Unfortunately, Astarion never followed up with Raphael's statement.

'Down came the claw!' for your playthrough if Ralphy is that broken for you grin

How'd you even manage to break him that much? He works fine for me (his sanguine line included), even bullied him at camp to get his ACT I Helldusk Armor (but gave it back because who wants to wear that hideous thing the entire playthrough).

And yup it is quite liberating not to worry about achieving perfect outcomes and just letting the chaos unleash, it's why I love my 2nd playthroughs a lot each patch. Though naturally after playing a truly dedicated evil playthrough in the past - some evil outcomes are an absolute no-go anymore due to how much they suck (like letting the druid ritual complete, joining Minthara, Nere or Marcus, letting Shadowheart spear a certain someone). Too much lost content for absolutely nothing of value, so it's much more enjoyable to just roleplay a calculating power-driven character (who also creates chaos but 'waits for the right moment').

Which is why I built the character specifically for Astarion, it is through his own power that she'll become safe from her own pact chains and be able to indulge in her sanguine lust. Merely looking to survive (just like him) through him, with 'plenty of talents worth exploring' along the way. But of course she also made a lot of captivatingly pretty corpses already, owns a walking corpse along with a quasit pet and snapped several toes like twigs (chewed some off too), even blamed one of her ACT I sanguine arts on Astarion grin

I love their partners-in-crime dynamic.

I didn't do anything to Raphy, I swear. grin

As described above, Mr. A. was caught stealing and since giving back wasn't an option for him, he chose "Attack". After everything in the grove was dead and looted, we needed a trader and went to the goblin camp early to empty our pockets. Raphy hasn't appeared anywhere yet. Since then, everything in the game has been strange for me.

Hmm... I had this dialogue choice with Raphy recently.

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

I play like that too, I'm completely relaxed and if it costs me the honor mode, then so be it and I'll start a new game. That's why I let Mr. A. steal everything everywhere. If you can steal it, he'll try. smile Yes, and all the morally questionable things are of course also tested to see if they work. hahaha

My Durgie initially sees just a “trade item” in Astarion. Wherever there is a spawn there must also be a master and I already have immortality in mind as a reward. Only later I decide that it is much better to let Astarion become powerful and become immortal through him. Astarion is trying very specifically to remind you of the possibility of dominating the world with him. My Durgie is sometimes more or less affected by the memory loss and is easily or not at all influenced by him. But their intentions and views complement each other so well that it is clear to me that I want to walk the path of power together with him and leave them to their strange love.

Ok, finally Raphy found me, but I wouldn't have expected him there. hahaha But even there I no longer have the question "You know my work" to choose from.

I've told Minthara to raid the grove, where everything is already dead. I will now give Halsin the good news that 2 of 3 bosses are dead, only Minthy is already on her way to the grove... I couldn't stop her. smile

Huh, didn't even know Durge had a unique line if Sceleritas Fel was met before Raphael. Thanks for the video, was curious to know what he says to that (his sanguine life is definitely better) grin

Am pretty sure talking to Nettie is a trigger for his arrival, so if Mr A murderized her in the chaos that erupted then that's most likely why you got him much later than expected. I assume he popped in after talking to Halsin (since the player has to find out about the tadpoles before he pops in)?

This choice must have been added with Patch 7, as I always had the sanguine option before. I like demoting Raphy to a possible additional servant. hahaha But I like his other text better too.

It's very possible that you have to talk to Nettie first to trigger Raphy. Mr. A. unleashed chaos before I could talk to Nettie. The door to her room then closes and she later lies dead in the grove. I have to check it out. If I go to Alfira after talking to Nettie, Raphy appears either at Harper Lookout or at the destroyed crossing in Moonhaven. If I take a long rest before I go up to Alfira, he must appears on the way to Alfira.

After I told Halsin that Minthara was on her way to the grove, he said his text as usual and that we would meet there. I then took a long rest to trigger Minthy's attack. Suddenly Halsin stood in my camp and said our camp was cozy and he would like to join us and told the text that he would actually tell you after the party.

I leave the camp to see what happened in the grove. Minthy has taken over the grove without resistance and I should talk to her. This then starts the goblin party. Halsin is still standing in the camp and acts as if everything is fine, it doesn't bother him, he doesn't seem to notice that the grove has been wiped out and goblins are having a party there for that reason and Minthy is also standing in the camp. Astarion is also bugged, it is not possible for me to trigger a night together with him here.

I certainly could have triggered the Tiefling party if I had knocked her out in her room. But I wanted to see what she does when the grove is already dead. She then says something like I would have started killing the grove without her.

I'm starting a new game now, but it was very interesting to see how the game deals with such an unusual situation. But it could also have happened to someone who was completely new to the game and unknowingly unleashed chaos in the grove early on.

Apparently Astarion has a special dialogue option if Tav is already a Slayer the day after they are turned. I was so pleasantly surprised to have an option to tell him about Tavs special form.

I wonder if it is tied to the fact that he never saw the new form before turning Tav, or if it is there as long as you have the Slayer form? I'm guessing the latter.

I love details like that in the game!

I think this dialogue is possible as long as you have the slayerform and show it to Astarion. I always stand right next to his tent and of course I choose "ROAR" hahaha

It's amazing that he doesn't fear the slayer but is afraid of the Durge when he is taken over by the "Urge". The night you try to kill Astarion, I'm pretty sure he's talking to 2 persons at that moment. He talks to "Darling" and to the "Urge" ("In another live we could have be friends").

Depending on how evil you are, he has already experienced “Darling” and knows what you are capable of. If the "Urge" takes over you, you must be truly fearsome that Astarion is afraid of you. UA mentions several times that you are very scary then. He then also reclassifies Alfira's death. The slayer is apparently still cute in comparison. smile

And I hope that's not why you're scary:

It's a dialogue option that pops up if you have the slayer form, I believe you get the same dialogue option if you're half-illithid, too

I swear Gandrel revived somehow and started cutting onions... wyllcry

Was not AT ALL expecting such an emotionally heavy scene for merely suggesting we could use Oblodra's potion, caught me completely off guard how something so meaningless from my perspective weighed so heavily from his. Feeling like I just emotionally got ran over by a freight train... it's over, am just a side character in his story now, he can have the entire world and more grin

Although Larian has to fix this awful misalignment, slightly ruins such a beautifully captivating moment frown
