Dear Larian...
I have been having constant problems launching the game.
The initial loading screen (before the menu screen) kept freezing at 93%

Before Patch #7/s launch, I uninstalled the game so I could have a fresh install.
I deleted ALL files and ALL folders belonging to BG3 (including all the hidden ones in the %appdata folder). I used Revo Uninstaller, which deletes ALL hidden files. I also stopped Steam Cloud and deleted Steam cache files... etc...

I did this multiple times, and then the game launched. I then used the official in-game mod manager and tried to start a new game and was able to play with the mods installed. I was so happy.

The next day I tried to load the game and ... BOOM... once again I was greeted with the loading screen freezing at 93%...
I wasn't even able to load to the menu screen.

The only way to get BG3 to work is to delete EVERY mod from the mods folder. But if I want to use mods I cant as the loading screen will freeze.

So, weeks later, the same problems have been happening over and over again.
Many re-installs later, the same problems have been happening over and over again.

I have done EVERYTHING... yet the game still won't launch when using BG3 official mods.

I have sent numerous reports through the Larian Crash Reporter. But I don't think any of them were sent as the crash reporter seemed to have frozen as well when I pushed the send button... it just greyed out and did not have a crash report appear...

I have also sent 2 tickets to Larian and the reply I received told me to do exactly what I told them I had already done...

This is ridiculous, I can't keep doing this just to play a game. There are a lot of people who are not computer savvy, nor should they need to be.
There is something seriously wrong with Patch #7 if I have to delete my game files or mods EVERY time I want to play the game.
There is something wrong with the in-game mod manager if this keeps happening as it seems to be a problem with mods loaded with the in-game mod manager.

I don't know what to do from now on, except to just put the game away.

Yours Sincerely
Kandy Kane

No one replied... no one has the answer...

EXCEPT I DO!

Just 2 Questions
1...Do you have 2 computers with 1 account AND BG3 installed on both?

...Here's the BIGGIE...

2...DO YOU HAVE 'CROSS SAVE' TURNED ON BOTH OF YOUR COMPUTERS?

If so... turn it off

"Cross-saves" and "Cloud saves" are inherently a liability, and almost always a terrible idea.

If it's turned on by default, this is something that should be changed. It should not be opt-out, it should be opt-in.
