This thread is dedicated to Wyll, the overall treatment of his character, and the unfortunate implications that come with it, intentional or otherwise. I'm not asking for more Wyll content because at this point I think that ship has sailed. I'm making this thread in the hopes that someone at Larian listens and does better in the future.
I think most folks can agree at this point that when compared to the other Origin characters, Wyll feel underdeveloped. You can blame the rewrite if you wish, but the fact remains that his story is no more developed now than it was a year ago. When you consider how many additions and updates Larian has made since the game's launch (including new kisses, the epilogue, new evil cutscenes, etc.) this looks really bad. It comes across as Larian having little or no interest in developing their only main black character. This is a problem.
I think Wyll could have genuinely been an excellent character. I like the direction the rewrite took him in. But he needed more time to cook and it's a shame that he will probably never get the same level of care and dedication to his writing that other origins have.
