Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems bug - Viconia not acknowledging Shadowheart

I actually had this bug for a while since patch 6 came out, I've reported it to Larian contact support then & today but never reported it here. But basically, what the title says is I will have Shadowheart in my party but Viconia will completely ignore her. I honestly think it has something to do with me recovering most of her memories and following everything there is to do with Shadowheart.

Example: I give her the noblestalk, had her wolf scene, had the dialogue of saying her wound is causing too much pain, had the camp moment of her doubting Shar, I was also able to get Shadowheart to spare the Nightsong when she turned to me saying "what should I do?" and I told her ‘it's her choice’, and went through Baldur’s Gate with her so she would have her “remembering the smells” dialogue in Act 3. Because I do all that I think it's causing some sort of flag not triggering thinking she's dead or she’s at camp or something (I’m not sure how bugs, flags, and coding works.)

Because of this I went ahead and tested on one of my older saves where I did not do most of those things but was able to have her become a Selunite and the Viconia scene will run just as normally.

I can still save her parents, and Shadowheart will have her scene with Viconia after we kill all the Sharrans but it's just that specific part seems to be bugged.

Hello there! I encountered the same issue in 2 of my playthroughs where Viconia doesn't acknowledge Shadowheart's presence... was just wondering did you ever come up with a solution for it?

Also I think this line in patch 8 might refer to it:

"Your character will no longer think Shadowheart is dead if she isn't when talking to Viconia."

I have not been able to fix it, it doesnt work on my new unmodded playthrough I did a few weeks ago so I really have no clue what the issue could be. I saw the patch notes so hopefully, it will be resolved with patch 8!
