I haven't seen one yet. I was also looking for a mod that might remove the backlit effect from cinematics, or the way that spells like Daylight which do similar stuff haven't seen em. The standard 'light' cantrip I think works well enough for me, but the daylight spell is pretty harsh with the low contrast.
If you look under the mod section for vfx or sfx I have seen them for most of the ritual spells like the dailies, but still missing some to remove the fx from Bardic inspiration, Warding Bond, Deathward etc.
I've been seeking out the various mods that have the "No X" with the same font in the preview image that look like this...

There's quite a few there, but still haven't seen specifically for "Light"
I think when it comes to weapon fx, I'd prefer to see the animations and vfx/sfx only when the weapon is first readied/equipped, or like in hand or in combat. For spells the same deal, when the spell is being cast, but then the fx would go away after a few seconds. You know so say Zhalk's sword would only be igniting with the flames when it's drawn, and not having any fx for weapons on the back. I also wish we could hide equipment slots for the weapons as well as the capes and cloaks, as that would also work for me probably half the time. I think it looks goofy to see weapons on the back generally, I wish everything could just either hang at our belt like Daggers or else be made invisible unless it's in my hands. I've just had my fill of quartstaffs and longbow clipping through my thighs, or tails clipping through capes and all the rest. But then the light vfx are attached to those items so it's a bit wonky without them.
I think another cool option might be to have the effect highlight on character selection but then disappear after a second or two, that would work for me as well.
I'm not partial to the halos, stuff like Hex floating above the head, and there are still a few others. Hopefully the VFX mods can be somehow organized into a more comprehensive spread like in a single package but for now it's more like 1 by 1, pick as you go.
Going the other direction, mods that change the lighting vfx colors would be fun, but again haven't really seen much for that stuff on the in-game lists.
Part of the challenge I'd imagine is just trying to figure out if a mod for something is already being worked on, like to avoid reduplicated efforts or just preview what's coming in the weeks ahead. There's a section for "Just Testing" that might be for that stuff, but I didn't really look around to much. It's only been a few days that I've been able to scroll through to the final pages in the list, since whatever last hotfix. On discord/nexus you might be able to see if the mod already exists, than perhaps more likely it might make it to the in-game loader or for console eventually. Some mods are being updated pretty regularly, like they update more often than I've been able to finish a run, so I find myself restarting a lot, and then update just abandoning the old saves. Similar to EA, except that now I play till the Ketheric fight usually before running out of juice and going again.
Let us know if you find one
