I was searching for a way to have "some light in a dungeon" without a "blue glowing sword".
That you can't have a lantern or a torch hanging / stucking somewhere is annoying. I don't want to change always from torch to sword ... exspecially cause all my sword skills are than gone and I have to re-arrange them, after switchign back.
A little lantern at the hip, like in Greedfall would be a wonderful idea.
I use right now this mod for some "light in the dungeon":
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1962?tab=description (works flawless with Patch 7). I use the Main Mod and the optional file: Wearable Moonlantern Stowable. Now I have a large, blue lantern on my back, alongside with my sword.
I also have this mod to remove VFX & SFX:
