"Can we trust these Drow? They look like a pack of demons from the pits we just escaped from!"
"Zevlor says leave 'em be...but keep a wary eye."
"The mage talks friendly. But she has the red eyes. Just like the two males with nose rings who follow her around. Never say a word, those two."
"That's how it is down there - the females run things."
"What about the half-drow? Seems a bit different. No red eyes, I mean."
"The cleric? I'd keep my distance from her too. No idea who she worships, but if she's running with Lolth-sworn, can't be anyone decent."

Why yes its the kind of garbage clothing you get exposed to in fantasy games.

As we know it for example also from movies with vikings, from Hollywood and otherwise.

If you want to get a very rough first idea how actual vikings (well, norman warriors) would have looked like, we have a surviving artpiece of the time period which we think is fairly accurate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayeux_Tapestry

As you can see, they have most of their body covered in chain armor. They wear helmets and use shields. The primary weapons are bows and spears. They may also occasionally use swords and clubs, too.

Besides even if the vikings at that time would NOT wear armor they would wear very colourful fashion. And yes they would wear fur ... but the outside would be leather, its the inside that would have the fur. Because thats much better in regards to warmth.

Thats why I personally cant stand viking movies. They are so brutally absurd. They depict a "viking king" ... and yet he is running around in clothing like in the OPs picture. Sigh.

I've always felt like it's more about fashion than practicality when it comes to fantasy armor. At least when we are talking modded armor.

Saying that I would have liked a belt on the front female with suspenders to be sure those chain stockings don't slip during a fight. wink
