Hey fellas, so this one's a toughie..

I recently bought DoS2 and have been really enjoying it so far. However, once I landed at Fort Joy and started busting the head of some bulky cannibal dude, my entire screen froze for a good 5 seconds, then went black and sent me back to my desktop with this message



It says to check a bunch of stuff, so I did--

-I had no recording software being used (nor opened in the background)
-GPU drivers are fully up to date, same with my Windows updates
-I don't have 2 GPUs, so SLI isn't enabled

I'm totally clueless here. Heck, this same error happens with BG3 as well. I just shrugged it off with that game since
my rig is on the older side.

Speaking of my rig, here are my specs--

i5-6402P
AMD RX 480 (4gb)
16gbs DDR4 ram
1TB WD HDD
120gb Kingston SSD

Hope you guys can help a brother out here. I was really just starting to get invested in gathering up the shipwrecked gang lol

your gpu stopped working... i would assume Ram or a hardware issue like ports

is the 1TB drive external perhaps?
have you tried lowering the graphics i.e, med instead of high and refight the battle?

also load up another game [benchmark] to test your Gpu is otherwise working... Windows updates just love highjacking Gpu drivers after a crash [they caused]
