are you both running min graphics?
I can't even run the game to get to the menu to change any graphics settings. As soon as I click "play" the screen goes black as it does before the game starts, but a few seconds later it quits back to the desktop/GOG Galaxy launcher. But when it was working I was using the following settings.

Resolution - 1440×900 / 1600×900
VSync - Triple buffering
FPS Cap - 30
AMD FSR 1.0 - OFF
Model Quality - Medium
Shadow Quality - Low
Cloud Quality - Low
Texture Quality - Medium
Texture Filtering - Anisotropic ×2
Instance Distance - Medium
Fog Quality - Low
Detail Distance - Medium
Animation Level of Detail - Medium
Anti-aliasing - TAA
Ambient Occlusion - OFF
Depth of Field - Circular
Depth of Field Quality - Quarter Denoise
God Rays - OFF
Bloom - OFF
Subsurface Scattering - OFF
Dynamic Crowds - 0
However, trying to re-install the game I deleted the Larian folder in Documents, so settings and save games would all be wiped (in case any of those were causing issues).
Also no mods have been installed.
