Oloth consume me... they definitely need to address the trigger for this scene to just play upon the first kiss of ACT III instead, this is absolutely nuts. Actual in-game 'romance lottery' just to get a tiny piece of Minthara's content.


Oh am good on the race part as I triggered it in Patch #6 as a Drow, but this patch is just brutal. 150 consecutive kisses, not counting several dozen throughout the entirety of ACT III whenever I approached her, nothing.

Really wanted to have it before finishing the playthrough with her, but meh... gave up in the end. It's just insane, locking away romance content behind such extreme RNG.

I can tell you when it triggered for me the one and only time and whether it has anything to do with the location or just pure randomness.

It was probably all just random but also was during patch 6.

I am now at kiss 771. And the poison kiss triggert for the third time. YEAH 🎉🥳

Hah, went back in after reading your comments and the 'Minthara Slot Machine' finally blessed me after throwing away my entire inventory into the Chionthar and spamming 50 more kisses

I've truly no idea how this triggers. There was no saving throw of any kind nor did I even get poisoned either, but after 200 kisses am definitely submitting feedback about this scene's trigger. Maybe it works on the same principle as the Mirror Of Loss with its unique memories, using a hidden roll outside the regular system to trigger the scene.

Minthara is still bugged in the Moonrise Towers Prison i can't talk with her even after reloading it is impossible to recruit her.

I recruited her yesterday just fine ...

I have recruited her for the first time a while ago and dont know what to do with her because it makes logically no sense that my protagonist would tolerate a Lolth-Sworn Drow anyway.

Not if you know what Lolth-Sworn Drow means to people living in the Forgotten Realms.

Kind of the same as what for example vikings meant to people living at certain coasts in Europe at certain times in history.

Still have an issue to recruit Minthara.

Context :
-Knock her out in Act 1
- Try to save her in Act 2, go to prison to free her, kill the 2 guards and then she doesn't talk at all.

Try everything to make her talk => knock her out, long rest, TP bug with her, save the gnomes and tieffelin by water, use all spells ans potions

PLEASE LARIAN FIX THIS BUG WITH MINTHARA AT MOONLIGHT TOWER

Once she's in this lethargic state, it seems there's nothing you can do anymore to get out of it.
The only possible workaround I found (it helped for me, that time I got this bug) is reload the game from a save before confronting the guards and try out some other choices. (Like attack directly instead of communicating with Minthara first... etc... maybe one will punch through.)

It's a terrible bug, as it isan anticlimax of hours of play and planning and hope, it should be fixed. But meanwhile, this is something you could try.

I haven't reached her with Patch 7 yet but under Patch 6 she for me ended up in the lethargic state when I knocked her out while defending the Grove and then tried to save her from within her mind. She was fine if I straight up attacked the guards.

In my case, she went blank after I freed her and told her to wait (while I would clear the path from other guards)
When I loaded back and told her to follow me and not wait, it was ok and we escaped, she went to camp and everything was normal after that.
So I think best advice is, save before you enter the interrogation room and if she turns zombie, retry with other dialogue.

It is the same for me, it seems like Minthara only gets bugged if you told her to wait, the other people that recruited her without problems maybe they don't selected the wait option.

I recruited her on Patch 7 without problems, and I did select "Wait" first, took out the scrying eye and then had her follow. No issues.

In Act 1 I knocked her out in Goblin camp not the raid, and have no mods. As I understand knocking her out during the raid may be a reason for issues. Same with mods interferring.

On a happier note; she does seem to have more dialogue and banter than she had before. She felt more static in my previous playthrough, this time she is more present it feels like.

knocking her out during the raid CAN cause bugs yes but the correct path to getting her is "knocking her out BEFORE talking to her" i.e, at the goblin camp, start a fight against her or the guards and knock her out then [also be aware that taking all her clothes makes her naked later]

if you talk to her first then when you meet at the tower later she is expecting you to answer that question from back in act 1

Yes, it looks like Minthara's recruitment (ko) is the biggest problem at the moment. I knocked her out first in the Goblin camp. Afterwards it was completely impossible to recruit her. So I knocked her out in the Grove defense. And then it worked. But it also had bugs.

I have already read about problems with her recruitment (ko) several times now. Especially on reddit.

Otherwise, I thought she worked relatively well with the content she had.

Minthara's Poison Kiss is a problem. This might only trigger once in 200 kisses. And your character doesn't always get the poisoned status effect from her kiss.

The dialogue tree “talking about a private matter” is strange. It works now. I think. Some dialog options appear twice in the selection?

Minthara also surprised me with a few comments that were new to me. That was nice.

Also her banter/romance banter with the other companions are very nice. 👍💜

on my last save (it was patch 7) I had this issue but I reloaded and ended up convincing the gnomes that i changed her. Killing the gnomes with her did not work for me bc she wouldnt speak to me afterwards. I hope I can still recruit her similarly on my current save though bc i'll be upset lmfao

I love that Minthara has so much more dialouge now. However, I had one dialogue that cut off prematurely when she was saying her opinion on Minsc. I found it odd that her only response was "Indeed." and cut off so I checked the journal. She had three more scentences after that she didn't say.

Same, I would've loved to have a drider as a companion

BG3 definitely lacks when it comes to racial diversity for companions (considering how rich the lore is), not even a single short-race companion while having 50 shades of elves. Really wish we could've had some truly unique racial companions that diverge from the regular humanoids, like in this instance Kar'niss or Sazza, hell I'd take even a kuo-toa cleric at this point.



But thankfully Oathbreaker exists so I can play-pretend

Also that bug happens to me too from time to time randomly, not exclusive to Minthara though. Sometimes dialogue is skipped because the game gets a seizure.
