Greetings, Larian.

You've made a fantastic game with fantastic stories, believable characters, drama, combat, a plethora of spells interacting in all sorts of ways that could have been messed up but aren't, and it's all surrounded by subtle optional details of storytelling, adding to the setting.
It's a fantastic game, and I cannot make a big enough point out of that.

The problem:
However, my friend can't read. Severe dyslexia, and a school system that failed her has made her position incredibly difficult. Her current setup is something like taking a picture of the screen with her phone, doing some picture-to-text thing on it, copying and pasting it into some other app, and having that read it aloud. That means that figuring anything out that is not explicitly said, down to the individual dialogue options, is a hassle to say the least when playing alone. Playing a magic-user is a no-go. Optional, world-building documents? Forget about it.
I have a different friend who doesn't really play video games like this because of it (she's in my D&D group, it's difficult but she loves it).

The suggestion:
Is it possible to have a reading aloud button for the various text fields in the game?
In a prioritized order, this would be stuff like:
- Dialogue
- Spell/ability descriptions
- Books/notes

The written language is a fantastic thing, and I understand that you have a lot of it in your game, but even having a mechanical "google translate anno 2013"-style reading aloud for the options would be a significant help, and would let you reach a part of the gaming community that cannot speak for themselves, because suggestions all come in the written language.

Thank you for reading, Larian. <3
Kindest and most hopeful regards,
MatFold.

I am adding my voice (or I guess words) to this suggestion, while I don't personally need this, more accessibility options in games means a wider player base <3
