Just wondering if - and if so why - there are really no camera tweak mods available among the supported mods in the internal mod manager?

I really don't want to twiddle with external mods, but the native camera is annoying enough to make me reconsider if there are no supported ones.

Simple answer? No one has made one or converted one of the Nexus mods yet.

That's sad, the camera (and movement related to that) is the only thing I'd really want to mod with the game... Ah well, I'll see if I can make one of them work. Thanks anyway.

I'm very happy with the "native camera tweaks" from nexus.
Installation may look dauntiung when you read the description, as it uses the native mod loader, but there are some clips on youtube that show how to do it and it's not so difficult as it would seem.
I also use some mods from mod.io, so it works well in a mixed environment. I couldn't play the game without it anymore.

Yeah it's a bummer. I keep checking every week, but still no camera mods there.

Native Camera Tweaks and WASD were my favorite mods.

Being able to control camera pitch, invert the y axis, and having some way to change elevation manually along the z axis were all very helpful.

I wish they could push it even further and unlock the camera in dialogue cutscenes as well. Not the full on cinematics where everyone and everything is moving around, but I mean those shot/counter shot (over the shoulder) dialogues when interacting with the majority of NPCs. In instances where the camera is awkwardly positioned initially (say there's a door or a tree or whatever in the way) it would be cool if we could rotate or pan out, even if it had to be at set distances or angles. That way even if there is clipping or weirdness during one of these scenes we'd still have a way to work around it on the fly.

You know like if it was live TV and camera 1 went down, we could still get the shot from camera 2, or something along those lines.

Does anyone know what exactly the promised photomode will bring ? Is it only to make static screenshots or will it also allow camera positioning during game play ?

Well, I did get native camera tweaks and wasd working, and I can't believe I have suffered through 4-5 playthroughs without them. Ugh what a difference it makes.

Why in all the hells is the camera so restrictive in the base game? Doesn't make any sense.

dont make sense for the consumer, but for a dev makes a lot of sense, cause you wann to have the less load of assets, they need to do a lot of things to make sure the game works in a lot of different gpu/cpu/ram configurations, so they need to constraint certain aspects, in this kind of games, they limit the camera so the they can use lods more efficiently, they dont need to render what is not visible, etc... Also i dont think any camera mod like native camera can be made for consoles or with the tk, for those on pc they can use the native camera or go and "suscribe" to the otis mod.

The camera mod is overdue, I have no idea why Larian is so against it, the native camera mod from the Nexus site works perfectly. I played it on PC for a very long time and am eagerly waiting for the console version. There are no problems, so again mentioned no problems.
