Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Fane's deleted cutscene?

Made post on reddit but got no answer so far so I'll try my luck here. I've been searching for that particular (1.) dialogue option with Fane since I saw it on a video on DanaDuchy channel. So far I've made a low attitude run and high attitude run. I even started a classic run, thinking that it might be broken in the Definitive Edition, got to the right moment and... there's nothing new. Was this some early release thing or, given that the video is apparently from the console version, maybe it's only available on consoles?

Was it cut out of the game or something? I'm really curious because it strikes me as weird for Larian to remove content from already released game.

I was wondering the same when I saw the DanaDuchy's video! Guess we'll never know, though...

I haven't heard of this so can you give a little context? I don't get what's going on.

What part of the game is it on? When you talk to any companion you can part ways if you want. The other option here is talking about something after you had sex with him in the romance scene. Have you done the sex scene with him? If you want to try recreating this dialogue Id use the romance scene and the interactions before, during , and after to get this dialogue.

I don't really get what about this scene stands out or makes one thing it was deleted? Ive played the game 6 times through now and my companions who ive played multiple times always have new things to do and say based on the countless choices ya make. I feel like im missing something.

It was an additional dialogue you could have with Fane after the tryst in act 1.

By now I have already found the missing voice lines in the game files. The interaction was deleted when the game was updated from release to Definitive/Classic edition. Here's the transcript, if you're curious:

So, let me get this straight, there is truly a human sad enough to break rules on the divinity wikia then get angry and lash out against the moderator for literally doing their job and editing their comment, it is truly the case that it's entire peanut brain is incapable of realizing something that simple or having the smallest self-awareness. Then going on to accuse someone of being a sexual harasser for saying "yeah I know" to one of aethe's messages. And it can't be you who's in the wrong, no matter how blatantly obvious that would be from a third person view, it's always you who is in the right. Lyra can continue to ignore that he's friends with an open ableist TERF while wallowing in his misery, all that accomplishes is making me further laugh at him.
