Hi, I’m waiting on a playable Shadar Kai species mod to get the nod, and I’m pretty sure most people would like to see species, class, subclass, etc. various build options before they care about the sheer number of dice aesthetic mods out there.
The gunner feat, firearms, the swashbuckler rogue, all of these sound like they’d be more in demand than “pretty dice” and “starting weapons better.”
I’ve also heard a rumor that Larian is waiting until they fix the bug that crashes the game while mods on console.
Can we get some communication from Larian on where this issue stands? How close is the issue to resolved? What is the current standard waiting period for a mod to get the nod to console?
Any information I think from Larian proper would be greatly appreciated, and would likely go a long way to cool heads from the amount of spammed modder rage that’s been on this part of the forums.
Hello! Just to clarify some of the questions here!
We recently shared some information about an upcoming Hotfix that will limit the amount of mods on console. You can read more over here:
https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=954087#Post954087This hotfix specifically aims to prevent instability, reduced performance, and crashes when playing with more than 100 mods on console.
When it comes to race mods, this is a slightly different issue.
While race mods are generally accepted, the team is currently investigating an issue with them sometimes crashing on console.
While the team investigates, we have paused the approval of mods that add new races. If you are the creator of one, please feel free to still mark your applicable mods for console testing. Thank you for your patience!
As this one is taking some more time to investigate, it will not be included in the upcoming hotfix. But rest assured the team is on the case.
You can find more information on how mods get into console and what guidelines they have to follow over here!
