Hi all,

I just want to inform that many modauthors are saying that they will stop consolesupport due to huge delays which mess up their mods

Hi Nestor! Welcome to the forum!

As Salo pointed out in previous posts, an impending hotfix is keeping mod curation on hold https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=954087#Post954087
Moreover, updated mods need to be entirely re-validated which takes time.

It’s kind of you to keep us informed of the general temperature of the modding community. You can rest assured Larian are informed that this is an issue.

In conclusion, thank you for making this point. It has been received well and clearly. Repeating it would only muddle the message.

Larian, please make accessibility a priority for upcoming patches.

Thank you! Its not to be annoying but baldursgate has a special place in my heart and love the game and the 3rd installement is my favorite so I want to be able to enjoy it to fullest and wish the same to other people. Im sure larian wants that too and continues to give that enjoyment with games like dos2 which is my favorite game ever

Hey Nestor and thank you for your post!
A small console-only hotfix has gone live today, resolving some stability and performance issues when using mods on console. With this fix now in place, our team is continuing to retest a list of mods that are approved for console, but have since been updated.

Please bear in mind that any new updates to a previously approved mod will require full retesting to ensure that the mod still follows the guidelines and does not have any files or content unsupported on consoles. For this reason, we usually ask mod authors to only mark a mod for consoles if they're not expecting to update it further (though we understand that sometimes updates are inevitable!).
The team continues to test both updated mods as well as new mods to approve for console platforms.

You can also find out more information about the process here: https://baldursgate3.game/mods#/r/modding-guidelines

Mod author here and i have not hear or read that in any of bg3 cmty discords... Also some mod authors dont have the interest to support console in any shape or form not cause of delays in the process to verify mods, we know it takes time for larian to test, check and made sure the mods comply with the console needs and restrictions is just cause we dont have any interest in console.

Be patient, larian gonna do what they need to do.

I don't believe this is being said, however, the mod authors are probably also dealing with mod users that are pushing them for ETA's they don't have, which
can get very frustrating for the mod author when it's happening countless times a day on the mods they are making for others to enjoy.

So, it needs to be a team effort for all of us to get through this. Mod Users need to be patient as Mod Authors don't have any control over the timelines, and
Larian is working as quickly as they can to properly test mods and get them public while also handling countless other things.

The modauthor of the artificer mod said that on jay dunna’s youtube video. I mean we have a twee mod drought and today hotfix is live and no new mods. I saw 3 were added but removed abit later. I guess we are very excited and love the game and can be pushy but the approval is also taking extremely long in my opinion. Nonetheless still very happy with the game and looking forward to dos3!!!!
