Ok, here's a new suggestion of mine. If you're gonna have a huge demo again, like you did with , then if possible, make the savefiles of the demo compatible with the full version. This isn't an important suggestion, but I remember I bought the full right after the demo, and I didn't really feel like doing 10 hours of gaming all over again...

Like I said, it's not very important, but it could come in handy (if it's not too hard).

So what do you think?

yep good idea, because in the most cases i play the demo so much that i know everything that happens in the demo and that i am bored of that part.
Good idea

not a good idea...why? what if things change between the time the demo comes out and when the game hits?
A demo is just that, a demo...
...of course you will miss some items because they will not be there
in the demo, but only in the real game!.
So tell me would you like to go back looking over the land for these items,
that your not even sure where they are? Or... if you've missed that new "special weapon" they just added before release??

Besides knowing the demo so well could only benefit your first hours of the "real" game, making it a little easier at first!

Don't forget that in demo there was only the male warrior available. In demo I am sure you won't get half of the customization from the full game.

Those who want can start the game from the beginning ofcourse. You don't HAVE to load a demo save, it's just optional for people who want it, like me.

Well, the demo and full of were pretty much the same. Actually, I can pretty much say that if there were any changes, they were not worth going back for. If it's the same for , then I don't see why not. The demo of will be released a few weeks before the full. I don't think they can make major changes in that time. And since Larian seems to work from chronologically, any last minute changes would be for the ending of the game, not the beginning.

Seems to me was being pushed out the door by CDV, so I can assume no changes were made to the opening quests for that reason. is a different animal altogether. It seems are Larians are being given (taking) the time to make this game exactly how they want it. So I would imagine many changes happening after the demo release. More power to em!

But they said the demo would be released two-weeks before the game. It sounds like the demo will happen after the game is completed, but they need the two weeks to press discs.

Even tho I am anxious for to hit the store shelves I will not play the demo, I'll wait the extra two weeks for the full game. I don't want to spoil myself on a few hours of game play.

i'll second goldylocks. why bother getting the demo when u know that u'll be getting the full version when it's out? Larian has my full confidence so i don't need to try it out to know that it's a great game.

on the side, the latest gamespot newsletter arrived in my mailbox & greg kassavin (one of the editors) commented that DD is one of his favourite games last year. lynn, if u want 2 take a look at it (though it's just a brief statement), i don't mind sending it to u.

I agree. Yet I am afraid to make a mistake like I did with NWN so I will be cautious and play the demo first.
Yet I have less and less doubt that rRunner will be my personal Game of the Year (DD was one )

Or make changes to the game after the suggestions forum is swamped with ideas!
