I’m not an author but I did commission ($$) 2 mods, the oldest of which is at 45 days pending approval.
I won’t be commissioning a third, even though I’ve got plenty more ideas, Which is a shame because I really liked working with the author, and I think it’s great for the community as a whole.
Larian’s heart was in the right place but they’re in over their heads with mod approval, especially considering BG3 doesn’t have any sort of subscription associated with it. Their process obviously isn’t scalable, and there’s no way it’s sustainable. If they can’t find a way to automate it, they should probably just cut their losses and no longer approve mods after a certain date.
(That’s inevitable regardless btw)
BG3 was (is) such a fantastic game, it’s a shame that this is going to taint the memory for so many console players.
