There is a new belgian developer who is gonna make a MMORPG (By now there are probably as much MMORPG's as normal RPG's in development) called Heroes of Shu.
The Nebula 2 engine is used for creating the game, the same engine used for Project Nomads.
even the "Larians" are in the game, here they are a noble and brave race <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
The release date is set for Q4 2004.

For now it is only in Dutch and it is only a temporary site so don't expect a beautifull site. But you can find a little info about the game, if you speak dutch that is.

i wish them succes but i think mmorpg's are a bad choise to begin with

I know, a lot of MMORPG's already exist and you don't buy too much MMORPG's because you have to pay every month. and if you subscribe a few of them then the monthly pay to MMORPG's is high.

In the last months there were already released 2 MMORPG's: Eve online and Planetside. And there exist already some good MMORPG's, like Asheron's call 2, Anarchy online etc. , altough i don't play any MMORPG's.

My (bad) translation of the story of Shu,

The story is about 2 gods fighting about that the world should be covered in Light or darkness.
Both gods possess a magic stone which was long ago 1 piece and balanced the life on earth. But because people had more and more a own will, and didn’t respected the stone anymore, the stone broke in 2 parts, and caused the whole human race to die. But slowly there came new races and animals.
Each of the gods get a part of the stone, and the biggest part was for Shu, the god of the sun and the eldest god, but not everyone was happy with that.
Everything went well untill 1000 years later a war started between the gods. The goddess Amenti had all parts stolen and attached it to her stone. Only one stone remained,
the one of Shu.
Because of this, a war started between Amenti and Shu.
Because of fear that the last stone would be stolen it is divided in smaller parts, which are kept in Errentia, a world who shu, after he got the stone has created.
The little parts of the stone has a special power. They let Errentia fly so that the stones are unreachable.
Amenti, the god of the underworld, wants the lasts stones of Errentia so she can stop the light with shining, causing Errentia and it’s floating islands to sink to the bottom of the ocean.
This so that Amenti can take over the rest of the world. To do this she released big groups of monsters to find the stones.

Shu, who was desperate has finally asked the help of the Larians , a noble and brave race from Errentia.( <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />)From them Shu makes an elite army, The heroes of Shu, they must fight the monsters on the world of Shu.
You are one of the elite, you must save the world of its destruction together with your friends, your own race.

You can travel alone in the world of Shu or you can make a group, both with the same purpose: To kill the demons of the evil Amenti!
