The Age of Wonders 2 expansion is [url=http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/914785.asp]out[/ur] and already has it's first review!
It's a stand-alone title, something like AoW 2.5 with new maps, creatures, spells and corrected interface.
Anyone else is a Turn Based strategy fan?

I am a big turnbased strategy fan. I have played AOW2(Age of wonders 2) for days, it is so addictive! The-"ok, now only 1 turn that i play for today but then 1 hour later i'm still playing" factor is really high. I ordered AOW: shadow magic and i am hoping that i get this week a telephone call and then get to hear "Your game has finally arrived".

So tomorrow i'm going to visit all my friends because when i get the game you won't see me outside for a few weeks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

Wanna play multiplayer if I get it (of course if I menage to run Multi <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />)? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

I'm reading *very much* in the AoW Heavengames Forum, so this isn't new to me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

The sad thing is, that AoW comes seemingly out in the US first, then in Europe (about a month later), and even in GB later than in the US, although the language is not as different as German, or Italy.

But even if it was here now, I wouldn't be able to buy it, because I'm currently short with money.

A week left and I might finally get it!

I have the exact same problem, and then suddenly you notice that it is 5 hours later. And when you have completed the map you say, ok let's just start a new game and do the first turns. And then you are back from the start: Ok, one more turn and i'll go to sleep...ok one more city and i'll go to sleep...alright one more level for my hero and i'll...etc

Luckily there is a realtime clock now, so you know what time it is. I only dont look at it, i am to busy with the game itself. Even while the PC is doing its turns. Then i am thinking of what i am going to do the next turn.

Checked at store shadow magic is out. too bad they didn't make an expansion to age of wonders 1.

ive got it. The game is excellent excellent. I haven't scratched the surace though, so it might be even greater. woooo thanks for waking me up guys. I usually play in LAN with my boyfriend, or play with friends, so I don't have to go through Gamesuck er I mean Gamespy.

I really love the AOW series though. It's the only strategy game I will play, because usually I'm a huge CRPG fan. But it's a gooooood strategy game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

gamespy has every friggen game, its annoying, how to paly without paying them!

Except games published by ubisoft: ubisoft has ubi.com browser. Pretty nice one, without banners.

But just use "all seeing eye" a bit like gamespy but better.

Krull I can't find volume 7 and i want to watch it before i end up going to school. My only lead after searching for months, is Hollywood Video. Its supposed to be some kind of video store. I went out driving today and couldn't find it even though some guy that works at another video place gave me directions seceretly cause its bad business and i guess he could get in trouble for turning away costumers. Well anyway i couldn't find it. Go figure. I have to search around for an address. I don't want to end up buying it. On same day I bought Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeee game and took it home and played it. I get graphic adnormalies like crap moving on the screen background trees and terrin moving all around my screen most of the time it stops. It happens now and then. I tried switching resolutions. Im not sure what the problem is. On a side not i completed the training missions for fun as usual. and im now starting the 1 campaign. Its going to suck stink blow or what ever word you care to use blah if i find out that i can carry my hero over from the training missions into the campaign. Meaning i didn't spend my life learning all the thousands of spells and max level my hero i just took my time and when things got worse i rushed to kill the target. Sooo im starting my first misson, err im already in my mission.

Positive notes:

I love the background music
some of the creature models have been changed slightly plus new ones
skills are redone you will notice something different

negative side:
