Right, this is totally untypical for what I see in my games. Scratch runs up to Shadowheart. She kneels and scratches him and says her line, and then scratch walks away again. Shart then returns to her normal routine. Watering her plants, trying to open the artefact or reading her book. There's something not notmal in your Shart action. Maybe a mod side-effect ?
