Greetings community. When I'm playing BG3 with a mouse & keyboard, I can't select any actions from the Hotbar? When I try to select something like Fire Bolt, or Fly, nothing happens. This problem happens on the Red tab, on the Common tab, the Sorcerer tab, every tab on the bottom of the Hotbar has this issue (except for the Custom tab, that one works differently than the others). I can only perform actions after I've selected one of the tabs on the top of the Hotbar, like the Action tab, or the Bonus Action tab, any of the Spell Slot tabs, etc. This can't possibly be how the Hotbar normally works right? Surely this is a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this issue? Bear in mind my Hotbar Lock is currently on. If I toggle off the lock, I am able to move actions around on the Hotbar, I can delete actions from the bar, but I still cannot select any of them. I will post a link to a video demonstrating this problem. Also apologies in advance for bad video quality, not sure what happened to the recording.

it looks like you are stuck in animation which means your system is struggling to play the game and thats not a bug... if it keeps happening a system restart should free up some ram which will help

p.s, are you using any mods?

No it's just bad video quality, I don't know why the video recording came out so bad, BG3 runs just fine on my computer at 60fps on high graphical settings. No I'm not using any mods either.

I watched the video, and yes, you're right, this is absolutely not how it is supposed to be. Are you saying that you played all the way to Act 3 like this? Because that seems absolutely torturous.

Does this also occur if you expand the size of your hotbar? It seems very crowded sticking to the default height.

I can't help you with the bug, but since you say that you're not running any mods, I'd suggest trying Better Hotbar 2. It has some issues of its own, but it may be worth a shot to see if it resolves this specific issue.

Yeah the game has been like this for all 3 acts. I started playing the game on controller, and wanted to switch over to playing on m&k. Because of the hotbar issues, I've stuck to playing on controller for the majority of my playthrough, except for the occasional inventory management with my mouse. Yes the issue still happens if I expand the hotbar size, tested that. Thanks for the mod suggestion, where can I find Better Hotbar 2? On Nexus?

Regarding mods, they can sometimes cause unexpected issues if they aren't optimized or up-to-date with the game version.
