I think the Debug Book mod is a potential solution for you, you can set up things to where you have no need to run around where the cursed trees are.
You can adjust the state of quests, companions, teleport directly to areas, or even skip act 2 completely. With it, you only really need to teleport between camp, Moonrise, Last Light, and the Gauntlet of Shar. If the camp is a bother, teleport to Moonrise or the Gauntlet because thoe are interiror locations and have no trees at all. Moonrise and Last Light have some of those trees, but not a lot.
There is the matter of the quest to lift the shadow curse and what exactly it unlocks, though. I can't really discuss it efectively within this context without partly giving away the solution to the quest, which requires you venture into what is a place that will be intensely unpleasant for you, and not as bad but still a little hole-y is
which does unfortunately have a few trees inside it.
There are also a few sidequests out in the curse, but at most skipping them means you'll miss out on a minor character that reoccurs later and a few things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
Last thing I want to add: Debug Book itself contains unmarked spoilers including the identities of all possible companions, and if you conclude that skipping act 2 is ultimately ideal for you, it's may be worth setting the states of companions and quests. I would also recommend dismising all companions, then leveling up to 8 or 9 before adding them back to the party, so they'll level up as well. There's a ridiculous amount of XP available in act 3(3 or 4 times what is needed for max level), but being both under-leveled and under-equipped from skipping act 2 will be tough.
Anyways, I hope you're able to find solution that lets you enjoy the game.
