I had similar problems in act 1 (see this post
https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=955227). It turns out it might actually be one or more mods that are causing this issue, for me it was Tactician Enhanced (the English version specifically). I hope this helps.
