Dear Larian Team,

After a long long time I have finally finished my 1st play through of Baldur's Gate 3, And what a wonderful experience its been! I have to my embarrassment, started the game many many many times (a bad habit of old school roleplaying), but I stuck with my 1st and let it be the lens through which I saw your creation and hard work for the 1st time. As an ex-librarian and a games master in various RP environments, I want to praise the art and artistry of crafting a great story with wonderful characters, in a fantastically realised world setting.

Since early access in 2019 I have followed your journey and taken part in your EA fun, right through the Pandemic and a lot of the major and minor tribulations we all experience in life. Your game, and my journey within it has been a source of escapism, joy and wonder from the real world and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me, us the gaming public, such a beautifully crafted game. I just wish there had been more, like finishing a good book, you miss the characters that have become your friends on the journey they shared with you. But they are always there just a page away, seeking the horizon full of hope. So I will return to my friends in BG3 and enjoy their adventures many more times over!

Finally, when the game ended and the credits rolled, I watched and silently thanked all of you listed therein. But to my surprise there was my name in the credits as an EA playtester, I thank you for my mention, but ultimately that thanks I wish to reflect back to you. Thank you for giving me a place to spend the time in real life, while I learned to walk again from a back injury, recuperated from a near death brush with covid and healed a broken and troubled mind. You gave me peace and happiness, let me wish the same for you all.

I look forward to experiencing you're next project with as much enthusiasm as I hold for this one.

Many thanks

Matthew Anderson

A healthy W read, thank you. I feel the same by the way. BG3 is not perfect, but it is as close as we're ever likely to get in a game of this magnitude in this day and age. It has brought me some 800+ hours of fun so far, with many more to come. So thank you OP for the wholesome post, and thank you Larian for making this game, and continuing to polish it.
