I now always choose the option to sneak up the cliff and break down the walls myself rather than looking for something to throw Wulbren to break the wall, since it seems less dangerous. However...
If you break the Tieflings' wall, they run for it and get away, no problem, which is the idea because they are squishy if the guards attack. However, the gnomes just refuse to escape; they instead start fighting the guards by throwing things at them and inevitably they all die before I can do anything to help. Therefore, it's necessary to break the gnomes' wall first and then break the tieflings' wall. I haven't noticed this on previous playthroughs so I don't know if it's caused by a patch and the gnomes' behaviour seems almost buggy. Can anyone comment? Does it just depend on the position of the guard marching up and down?
