I'm waiting for an update on an outfit mod that I follow to be approved. It's been two months since author submitted it for approval, but looks like it's stuck in limbo. Author claims they can't even update it further because Larian has neither approved or rejected it.
Is there some sort of backlog that the team is working their way through or are approvals done in batches? Kinda frustrating to see new mods supposedly getting approved each day, meanwhile this one's stuck in waiting since November.

I'm still waiting for crypt stalker and Oath of the hunt after months.
Larian is dead set on doing this the hard way,so don't expect ANY mod you like to be approved until halfway through the year.

I had a mod commissioned ($$), built fully to be on console, and send for approval the day it was released. it took 107 days for it to be available.

The one I'm looking at (because I support the modder on patreon , not because I have a console ) is now at 125 days. It's nr. 35 in the "highest rated" mods list on PC. All the other mods in the top 100 have been ported except this one, 2 others that have not been submitted because they're incompatible with console, and one race mod, which is at ranking nr. 68. The mod I'm speaking of just add like two dozen outfits, so it could be completely tested in less than 2 hours. I guess Larian doesn't want this mod released because the outfits happen to be sexy (although they don' t add nudity, as specified in the rules. Only the partymembers that you can run completely nude anyway can wear these suits) Larian ( or their "community managers") refuses to give any feedback to the modder. Probably too chicken to admit they don't want, like, sinful boobs in their collection. (Boobs on a skeleton on the other hand are okay.)

Larian has been crickets about a number of issues, the Race mods, time for mod approval, I've been trying to get them to update us through here. They could communicate on what's going on behind the scenes on all of it, but they don't. I think they've either given up on this forum except to make announcements, or they've been prioritizing Patch 8, and putting literally everything else on the back burner. Hopefully now that it's in stress testing, they'll be able to spare some hours to get modders updated, tell us what's going on, and finally fix that Race mod crash issue (maybe the same issue is whatever is breaking saves in Patch 8 on PS5 that I read about). They've done a few drops for console, but from what I've read on here, it's unusually slow. Maybe it's because they're a smaller studio? I have no idea. It would be nice to get some sort of update.

Hey! Just to clarify this process a bit, we do have this on our Modding Guidelines and FAQ:
What happens once a mod has been selected for console? Once a mod has been selected for curation, it will then need to undergo internal testing before it is made available to console players. You will see the status as "Pending approval" during this time.
The marking of mods available for console and the curation process will be a continuously reviewed process, and may change to include additional functionality in the future. Mods ready for console that have passed testing will be released in batches, so bear in mind that it’s not an instant process after a mod is submitted!
Will all mods be made available on console? Not all mods marked for console platforms will be selected for console curation. Selected mods will still be subject to these guidelines and testing timeframes!
What does the team look for when testing a mod for console curation? The team at Larian tests mods for basic functionality, usability, and stability, as well as to make sure that they can be disabled without issues and meet the requirements stated above.
Bear in mind as mentioned above that not all mods are selected for curation due to the vast amount of mods on mod.io and uploaded every day and this is not a first come first serve basis.
Re: the first question - mod authors can 100% update any mods even if they're marked for consoles and mark these updates for consoles as well! This will not remove them or bump them down, since they are not first come first serve.
Mods selected for curation are tested in batches and the time it takes to test these batches and set them live can vary a lot depending on the content of the mod and how many mods passed curation.
As for the race mods issue, I can confirm it's something the team is still looking into.

This doesn't really help the fact that the process is slower than the wait time for elder scrolls 6 or GTA 6.
Because of compatibility issues people like me have to wait possibly months for Dread overlord's Mystra patch,we have to wait weeks for simple mod updates that require approval(for some bizarre reason),and we're at THREE HUNDRED MODS despite FOUR THOUSAND being available on it.
We know the process,we've been told the process numerous times, the process is still pathetically slow as shit.

As for the race mods issue, I can confirm it's something the team is still looking into. While I appreciate this, maybe they can start at how and why Kuo Toa still sits approved and is clearly not causing the crash issue, but somehow other single race mods (not the big multi-race packs), haven’t been approved. Perhaps it’s the quantity of data for the mods that add multiple races?
