So I have a reverse problem that most people do - in a multiplayer game one of our people is playing Gale - but he can't talk or interact with any of the other players, but CAN talk and interact with the NPCs. the mouse doesn't change to a talky bubble when you select him, and when you right click there is no "talk" option". We started a fresh game thinking it was a glitch.... and the issue replicated itself! The other characters can talk, but not Gale. Gale can talk to other people at camp UNLESS they have joined the party - then he can't. We are only like 7% through, so we aren't highly invested yet, but cannot figure out what in the world is happening. Most people have this the other way around - when Gale is an NPC or he can't talk to NPCs. I've tried killing and reviving him (that is what worked for them!) but to no avail.
I'm a little worried that the arcane hunger thing creating a problem - I think we have to talk to him to to feed him (he ate the ring the flying cat gave him so he is ok right now). Is this part of the story? Can Gale as a character not talk to other characters? I would feel silly if that was the case, but at least could just move on with my life. Any insights?
