Lae'zel disappeared from my camp some time in act 2, my latest savegame is after Shadowfell. She didn’t leave the party, and her tent is also still part of the camp.

I’ve read that apparently a companion can get stuck in a different camp, so I guess that is what happened. But right now I only have access to the camps in act 2 after the point of no return.

She didn’t die neither, Withers doesn’t offer to resurrect a dead companion. I also tried to dismiss all companions and send them back to camp, because I read that this might help making a missing companion show up again.

Is there a way to get her back? Or can I restore savegames? I’m playing on PS5.

Thank you very much!

Check the Githyanki Warrior in your quests. If it's still incomplete, she may hanging out near the Shadowed Battlefield fast travel point. Move fast and mind your words if so, because you're at a possible breaking point for her.

I had this exact situation occur, and I was weirded out by it because I took her words as idle threats, lol.

She was missing before Shadowfell. And I can’t check out earlier camps, because I am locked out of accessing them.

The quest is still going on, it says I have to talk to Voss at Baldur’s Gate. I am not entering the Devil’s Den to meet Raphael and Voss because I don’t want to progress the quest without Lae’zel being there.

Oof. The last option I can think of is to try forcing Orin to kidnap her. Take Gale, Halsin, and Minthara(or whichever of them are available) to the sewers after reconfirming that Withers can't revive her. That should force her to spawn at the altar in the Temple of Bhaal, and if Orin is disguised as Lae'zel instead of Yenna it should've worked. If your avatar is not the Dark Urge, you can cast Knock on the altar to tip the scales a little more in your favour against Orin, too.

Since you've cleared the colony in act 2, you can make a beeline for the sewers and get there in about 10 minutes without entering combat(especially if you have a bard that's focused on dialoge skills).

Edit: Scratch that one bit lol.

That was my plan too actually laugh I was keeping Gale, Halsin, and Minthara in my party and let Orin kidnap Yenna. It’s my first playthrough so I don’t know exactly how to progress that quest without interfering too much with other side quests like the murder investigations, or if I get locked out of other quests if I finish the Orin questline soon. But making the game spawn Lae’zel instead of Yenna at the end of that quest is my only hope now too smile Or maybe patch 8, but I think I have to start a new game with that one right?

It is always best practice to start a new game from scratch after a big patch so most likely yes, I hope Lae'zel will show up because Yenna is only there as a place holder when all the other targets of her are unavailable and seeing as you can only be max 4 in party, there is hoping that Lae'zel is simply just bugged out but technically maybe still considered to be part of your camp, please let us know how it goes as I am very interested to hear of the results, I suspect that you may simply have found a crazy bug that makes Lae'zel turn unresponsive to player agency somewhere along the way because...

...you still would have had a dialogue had she simply ran away due to lack of regards to her sidequest from late stage of Act 1.

I don't mind waiting till you get around to it for not wanting to disrupt some possible side quests.

You can get Orin to appear in the sewers without breaking any quests, though getting to that temple with the altar not so much because you need to deal with the Murder Tribunal before you can get through a certain door.

Most of the quests in act 3 can be completed in any order, but just steer clear of any rowboats surrounded by rats you find because that leads to the point of no return. I do want to advise against one very specific order that leads to annoyances throughout the Lower City though.

Killing Gortash before destroying the Steel Watch Foundry. The Absolute seizes control of the Steel Watchers, and when Orin is also dead, they all begin attacking your party on sight. Quite annoying because how many avoidable fights it puts you in, especially if you're already level 12 and have no use for the XP!

New save for patches? That would probably be optimal, but I wouldn't want to restart just because of a patch. I've had several BG3 playthroughs be affected by patches. The most notable things about those saves are that a few of them somehow still have an old audio glitch and one has the appearance changing mirror in a different spot in one camp. Obviously I can't promise nothing bad would happen, but it seems improbable based on my experience with BG3 patches.

Good luck.

I just finished Orin’s questline, the kidnapped character was still Yenna and not Lae’zel, so the game did not correct that bug.

I will keep that save just in case patch 8 could fix that issue, but for now I guess I have to accept that Lae’zel is gone and I will continue her questline without her. Quite annoying …

Thank you! Let’s see if patch 8 will fix anything … For now I have to accept that my game is bugged.

Oof.

Are you trying to gain achievements/trophies? If not, you could use the DebugBook mod to teleport her with minimal effort. Open it and select the fourth option(I think that's the right one: it should say Origin debug or something to that effect), scroll down to Laezel, and choose Recruit. Choose As Companion to make her an active party member,(you need an empty slot) or Send to Camp to have her show up at her tent. Don't select As Avatar, that will break the game XD

Sorry it's not been working out for you.
