Larian Studios Forums General Chat Ban from the discord server

you guys know i apologized right...why ban thats mean >:(

Hey there! After receiving 3 warnings in the Larian server- your final warning would have included
a link to the Larian Appeal server where you can attempt to grieve it. The forum team does not handle
bans from the discord server.

It's really funny that I was precisely coming on Forums for the exact same matter.

And especially I can quote that and proove it is not enforced this way :


I have been banned on 1st offend and didn't recieve any appeal link. I was actually not going to talk about my personnal story and rather make a complaint about Discord banning policy, because I believe that banning people on 1st offend with no possibility of Appeal is extremely brutal and give a very bad image of a Discord community (not to mention it is a poorly effective way of fghting toxicity). Adding to that this discord is an official communication channel, means it's detrimental to the image of the entiere Larian Studios compagny.

And for context, no I have not break any discord-inherited rules nor did I breach any law. I really just called someone (who, from my point of view, deserved it for trolling in Asking-For-Help channel) with a bad word.


Yet, I'm still happy to read your message, because at least it proove me that this is rather a "discord-specific" issue and shouldn't have happened the way it did. If you wish to have additionnal information about my story, I can provide this on demand, but I'd rather just move on from this Discord otherwise, because I'm the kind who gets baited by troll and I don't want to get baited again. As I said, perma-ban on 1st offend is extremely brutal and I have not well recieved it. I thought about giving up on my modding project and moving on from BG3 at all, to tell you how it feels to face such injustice, or should I said "archaic-justice". (because I do understand I deserved to be at the very least warned/timedout).

Okay, locking this thread. As PeachyKeen said, the forum mod team doesn’t handle Discord bans, and it’s not appropriate to bring beefs from elsewhere here. If you wish to appeal a Discord ban and didn’t receive a link, I’d suggest contacting Larian support.

And I’m afraid that insulting anyone, even in response to provocation, is also against the rules here. You’re very welcome to these forums to discuss the game in line with the rules (see link at the bottom of the page), but we all need to leave grief from other channels behind to help things stay friendly and constructive here.
