Have you tried running other games of a similar graphical standard (i.e. not old/indie games)? Given that you've reinstalled the game and looked at a lot of things related to background processes, I'm wondering if it could be some hardware component getting too stressed and dying. But this is just a guess since you've covered all the easy stuff already
Yes, to varying results. Doom keeps crashing too, even on very low graphic settings just like BG3. V Rising is not very demanding at all and crashes occasionally. Warhammer III would crash a lot until I capped it to 30fps in the Nvidia control panel.
And yet, some games don't have these problems. In particular, Cyberpunk 2077 can run fine on the highest settings, and that is a much more demanding game.
