I feel the need to add to the voices calling for more reactivity from companions towards the Dark Urge's major moments and reveals. When Sceleritas appears in front of everyone, nobody reacts, even to confirm whether or not they saw him. When Kressa's experimentation is revealed, there is no dialogue either. And, most importantly, as so many people have pointed out across social media, no companions have strong reactions to Redeemed Durge's death and resurrection. It is truly immersion breaking in an otherwise fantastic game, and it's disappointing to see so many granular dialogue/expression adjustments made patch after patch while this seemingly goes ignored. I would sacrifice all the new subclasses and kissing animations in a heartbeat to see this storyline finally fixed.

A lot for people agree with a lot of what you're pointing out. Many new players are held back from trying Dark Urge because of how incomplete the Dark Urge story feels at times. And a lot of players who do engage with the Origin character express disappointment with it being incomplete as you said.

With everything Larian is adding with Patch 8, and the fact that it's supposed to be the last Patch, I don't know how likely it is that any of our feedback will be heard, but I'll add my voice to yours nonetheless.

Lastly, I would also suggest they give Dark Urges Background: Haunted One, the option to choose the two proficiencies the class gives. If we can choose the Dark Urge's race, appearance, and class, it makes sense to be able to choose the proficiencies as well. Race, appearance and class would mean every Dark Urge would have different personal backstories, upbringongs and life experiences to each other, making the choice of proficiencies make sense. Maybe have the Background give a special condition or item which allows the choice of any two proficiencies at the start of the game?

When it comes to adding companion reactions as you suggest, are the voice actors actually still recording new lines? I mostly see them promoting the game, but I don’t think they’re currently still hired by Larian to continue adding details to the companion characters, are they?

I highly doubt it. It'd be amazing if it somehow did happen, but anything voice acting related is highly unlikely to occur given this is the last major update. Seems the Larian Team is mostly focused on these gameplay changes and subclasses for Patch 8. Who knows though. If this gets a lot of support, Larian may surprise us, but like I said it's unlikely.

Logistically speaking, a lot of the actors probably have other projects they are working on, making scheduling any voice work be extremely difficult to coordinate.

This is something that has been requested since the release of the game by a lot of people (there are quite a few areas where Dark Urge feels incomplete due to lack of companion reactivity) and at this point I just don't think it's ever going to be fixed.

It saddens me since other things have been added with new animation and voice lines (evil endings, better reactions to Astarion running from the sun, new Ansur cutscene) but the Dark Urge stuff was just ignored.
