Reporting back, I deleted and reinstalled the game and it feels like it has helped. I haven't played long enough to know for sure, but it was getting to the point where it would start doing it ten minutes in, or even immediately, and I played a couple of hours the other night and didn't get any audio delay at all. Praying it is a permanent fix!
