Patch 8 will be ready to roll out on Tuesday, April 15th!
To celebrate, get ready to join us on Twitch where we’ll talk all things Patch 8 with guest developer Ross, whose work on the new subclasses will be arriving next week.
HI, I can't seem to find an option in Steam to disable automatic updates of games. I can only tell it not to update until I launch the game. I don't want to update until my current PT is finished , because I 'm using mods which might no longer work. What should I do ?

As with the previous patch, we will likely have a Patch 7 beta branch available after the patch release.
Excellent news! A couple of days ago I set GOG not to auto-update so I can finish my current first person view modded playthrough (just beat Myrkul last night), but I'm looking forward to trying it when that's done.
Arcane Archer and Drunken monk got fixed/reworked, so their abilities actually work? Because even on last stress test patch, these 2 subclasses were basically non-functional.
Will that be April 15th for PC Mac and Console Users? Or just for PC/Mac and then consoles at a later date like with Patch 7? If the latter, any rough non-committal estimate for the console dates?

According to a comment in another thread, it's all platforms releasing on the same day:

Unplug web connection when playing BG3
You can use the Steam offline function, that way you can play the old patch without disabling your internet connection on your computer.
Personally I would try the old branch option that you can find in the beta tab on steam (when it's available), I assume that would let you play without going steam offline mode.

Yes, I used the beta of patch 6 to delay patch 7, but it was done with a rollback operaion, so patch 7 got installed, I noticed it broke some mods, then reinstalled the game from the patch 6 branch. It would be nicer to avoid upgrading and then regressing back, by not upgrading in the first place.

Oh..yeah, I see why you would want to avoid that! Offline mode and auto-updates off is the best option then.
