You're not alone.
I don't know if it's intentional, but I've noticed that when trying to move an item in the inventory via drag and drop into a container, the item's position is now swapped with the container in the inventory slot instead. This means you have to open the container first to place an item in it. I think this is an unnecessary anti-QoL feature in inventory management.
