I haven't tried patch 8 yet, but I'd also like to see an option to hide markers like these on player characters. I've had similar things while taking screenshots of my characters in older versions with see invisibility and the temporary hitpoint marker.
Let's hope that Larian will give us the option to hide them. *fingers crossed*
