Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems disconnected from larian when launching the game

Hello guys,


I just acquired bg3 and I encountere an issue than I still can't resolve.

I made a larian account and linked it with my steam account. I can launch the game - open the larian launcher, where I'm connected - then launch the game and play in solo as I want. The problem is that I'm not connected anymore in game to my larian account and can't play in multi/crossplay or use mods.

When the game is starting, I get multiple (like 5 to 6) error pop-ups " there is a problem" with no other information (during the loading screen and in the menu screen). I also can't connect via the connection menu in game nor create an account. If i insert my credentials, i only get a " try again later" message.

I tried to start the game via the larilauncher.exe in the steam folder as well as the launcher.exe in the larian app data folder. This doesn't work but with the second I don't get the popups, still I'm not connected in game. I already deleted the cache and the bg3 folder then verify the integrity of the files on steam. I obviously try to

unistall-install the game.

I also tired to make another account and deleted the first one. It worked one time then I came back to the same problem when I started the game later in the afternoon. Now creating a new account doesn't change anything.

Then i proceed to :

- Test different connection methods (wifi, cable, hotspot)
- delete or rename the bg3 folder in the app data larian folder. Another one is created instead and i got an error popup in the launcher " file systemerror" but it doesnt change anything to my issue.
- i can launch the game with steam closed via the exe files in the steam folder but that do anything much. I'm not connected to steam and can't either connect to larian in game.
- i linked my account to mod.io, if anything as to do with it.
- i dont have any saves, mods or anything else installed, i never played the game before.
- I can see in the runLog file (in app data/larian) that error message : {"message": "Invalid request body"} StatusCode1 BadRequest as well as No save files found. The profile folder doesn't exist.
. I dont know if that can be of any help...
- I do have acces to the multiplayer menu as well as the steam overlay without problems.

Another very tilting point is that i managed to launch the game twice (different evenings) and being connected as it should normaly be. No modifications of any sort has been done before, and i encountered the same issue again after closing the game and opening it back.


Does anyone have a solution to this issue or encounter the same problem?
