Does a berserker Barbarian always get advantage by default when making berserker intimidation rolls during dialogue?

With patch 8 out, I want to do a resist-Durge run, but I also want to see how far defaulting to the crazy all caps intimidation can get me through the game's various dialogue checks.

Not that I'm aware of, though some of them may come with innate advantage.

Though, if you're a Zariel Tiefling, you get the Thaumaturgy Cantrip for free at level 1, which will allow you to gain Advantage on every Intimidation and Performance check.

No and why would you think so ?

Barbarian intimidate checks are usually of low Charisma DC. They dont get advantage though.

Personally I would have given them high Strength DC instead.

If you want advantage for Intimidate, you may consider taking steps to get the Thaumaturgy cantrip:
- taking a level of Cleric
- playing as Zariel Tiefling
- playing as the new patch 8 subclass Giant
- or talking the Magic Initiate: Cleric feat.

Some Berserker specific checks do have advantage. Since the Berseker subclass gets a few unique checks that are extra violent and thus more effective.

P.s. Playing Giant Barbarian won't help the guy with his BERSERKER specific checks...
