Hi, I tried the "imrprovised weapon" with an enemy for the first time. Lae'zel picking up a goblin and smashing a second one to death. (using the chair icon in the action bar) Steam says it rewards this with the feat "Kill two birds..." but it's not unlocked.
Who managed to get this feat ? Did I miss something ?

I got this by smashing a goblin with another goblin.
The achievement doesn't actually require you to kill with the improvised weapon (It says it in the name of the achievment but the description doesn't necessitate it).
It's possible that it's easier to achieve if you don't kill, since there's multiple damage sources in the attack that might disrupt it (I.e. If you kill with "Crushing damage" of the enemies weight, then you've hit a corpse with an enemy, not an enemy with an enemy)
Try picking up a full health goblin and smacking another full health goblin and see if that gives you credit.

have you got mods installed?
Luke Skywalker: I don't, I don't believe it. Yoda: That is why you failed.

have you got mods installed? Yes, I do have a number of mods. Mostly face/hair/body altering mods, but also some like party iimits begone or higher levels.... I don't see any other probs though. Well, probably there's one that interferes with the animation of the new patch 8 classes. Is there a known problem with inprovised weapons ?

Irregardless of what they do, having any mods active means no achievments (Unless you have a mod that re-enables achievements)

Irregardless of what they do, having any mods active means no achievments (Unless you have a mod that re-enables achievements) That is strange, because I've begun to install mods a long time ago, and since then I received at least the achievements for finishing in tactician mode, for honour mode and most recently ceremorphosis (turning into mindflayer) , and the "sins of the father" for accepting to become Bhaal's chosen. I 'venow started a PT especially to attempt to get the 4 achievements that I'm still missing : The one mentioned in the title, the one for 12 different classes, for slaying 20 enemies while drunk and for getting 100 GP for bard performance. I'm curious then if they will be blocked as well.

I tried again, with the goblins on the rooftops, and this time I did get the award.
I have no mod that interferes with the awards fdonation. (I didn't even know that having mods could disable the distribution) So I still get them despite having mods. I even finished my honour mode run with a party of 9 (all companions except Minsc and Halsin) thanks to the party limit begone mod. I would completely understand if the award were withheld because of this. (I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it past Grym with only 4) But I got it nevertheless. So, the Steam award system does continue to work even with mods enabled.

A bit late I know, but I got this last night. I thought I'd levelled past all the throwable enemies until I decided to try betraying Roah Moonglow and her gnome bodyguard. I thought you had to throw one enemy at the other, probably because I've occasionally thrown objects but never used improvised weapons. Throwing doesn't give an achievement. But as soon as Shadowheart picked up Phase and slapped Roah with him (as an improvised weapon), the achievement came up. Both had plenty of health left.
I use a handful of mods, mostly to simulate a first-person view - nothing to alter difficulty; and I have the re-enable achievements mod too. I use the GOG version.
